As you may be aware of, an earthquake has recently caused great casualty and suffering in Nepal (the birthplace of the Buddha 2,600 years ago) and surrounding areas. Let us pray for all those who passed away in the devastating earthquake in Nepal; may all of them have a good rebirth in the Pure Land. Everyone is urged to dedicate a prayer to help those whose lives have been impacted in the earthquake. May the prayer bring compassion and peace to the people in Nepal. Here are some prayer services:

Special Puja for Victims & Survivors of Nepal’s Earthquake
Drepung Loseling Monastery, tonight (Tuesday 4/28) at 7:30pm

Memorial Ceremony dedicated to the deceased in the earthquake
Dharma Jewel Monastery, Thursday April 30, 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

In addition, if you are able, there are many organizations that are in need of donations for material and financial support to help the survivors. Here is a list:

Many global Buddhist disaster relief organizations have also arrived in Nepal already - Buddha's Light International Association has a team of 37 doctors and nurses as well as 5 tons of medical supplies, and Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation has an international emergency response team and 1 ton of dry food, tents, water purifiers, and other supplies in Kathmandu currently.
You can view a 10 minute video message of spiritual support, see some of the slow progress, or make a donation to Tzu Chi at www.TzuChi.USwww.TzuChi.US<http://www.TzuChi.US>
