Guided Meditation and Discussion
Emory Buddhist Club on Thursday!

Our teachers this week will be the current class of Tenzin Gyatso scholars. The Tenzin Gyatso Science Scholars Program trains indigenous, Tibetan monastic, science teachers by providing Tibetan Buddhist monks with university-level science training. Every two years a cohort of six monks from various monasteries is chosen for a four-semester residency at Emory College. During this time the Science Scholars take science courses alongside undergraduate students and receive individualized instruction in English, science, and mathematics from Emory-Tibet Science Initiative faculty members. Once the monks complete their residency at Emory, they return to their monasteries to lead science classes for their fellow monastics.
