Qing Ming Ceremony (bilingual English/Chinese)

Qing Ming Memorial and Blessing Ceremony
Sunday March 26, 9:30am - 4:30pm
Dharma Jewel Monastery

Everyone is invited - need a ride? Let us know!
Ancestral Memorial Ceremony (Qing Ming), has a tradition stretching back more than 2,500 years in Chinese history. The observance of Qingming found a firm place in Chinese culture and continued uninterrupted for over two millennia. During the Ceremony, we will recite the Sutra of the Past Vows of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, make grand meal offering to the Buddha, and perform memorial service. Through these activities, we can dedicate our merits to our loved ones and hope that they can be reborn in the Pure Land. We also dedicate the merits to world peace, hoping that all disasters can cease and all sentient beings live in harmony and equanimity.
